Art Campbell (c. 1924 - ) is a long-time Ypsilanti resident and landlord, with a portfolio that once totaled 102 properties. In recent years, Campbell has been selling off properties, citing his age as a factor, and, by late 2007, owned only a handful, including his own home and a few new-construction houses on Huron River Drive, around the historic Starkweather House.

Campbell's recent or pending sales as of late 2007 include,

  • MJ's Wooden Nickel, a bar on the north side of EMU's campus, destined to be overflow parking for the nearby Peninsular Place apartments.
  • The decrepit but historic Starkweather House, gifted to the City of Ypsilanti as a tax write-off. Campbell and his wife moved into the Starkweather House around 1950, and later used it as a rental property.
  • The Elbow Room bar in downtown Ypsilanti - bartender Andy Garris has purchased the business, and purchases of the liquor license and building are planned.
